How You Can Help Kids Make A Difference:
Funding Needed For 5,000 Students TODAY!
- February 9, 2009 - 5,000 students representing 8 schools in the Sweetwater School District, San Diego, California will be trained to:
1) End Bullying, 2) Express Appreciation, Respect and Love and 3) Make their dreams come true.
Each student will acknowledge 3 people with a "Who I Am Makes A Difference" Blue Ribbon. That's 15,000 people being honored!

All contributors will be acknowledged in our newsletter, read by over 15,000 Difference Makers!

Operating Dollars
Unrestricted donations are used to meet costs associated with expenses such as operating our administrative office, the up-front costs of Blue Ribbon production, maintaining a computer network and ecommerce site, industry memberships, and process improvement. Difference Makers International is tirelessly working to become a lean, efficient nonprofit organization, with a goal of spending less than 10% of its budget on administrative expenses. These expenses are critical to the organization and its ability to serve charity partners, sponsor participants into workshops and training programs, and fulfill its mission. In supporting Difference Makers International with operating dollars, you can be assured your donation will be used judiciously towards essential needs of the organization.
Project Funding
Our "Standing Strong Together" training program is a 3-day intensive hybrid workshop designed for kids and adults to come together to learn how to acknowledge, show love, respect, and appreciation, and communicate more effectively. Currently led by our Founder Helice "Sparky" Bridges, the program has grown to require additional trainers, donation of meeting space in the Greater San Diego Area, as well as coordinators in other major metropolitan area. Cash Donations go toward sponsoring low-income, at-risk, and gifted youth into the program, held quarterly.
Difference Makers International has successfully implemented a 10-month "Blue Ribbon Community" monthly training system for middle, and high schools. In today's economy, school systems are cutting budgets, and still want to lead students in the right direction. We want to support them, and funding goes to materials, supplies, and Blue Ribbons for the students to learn how to interact in a way that has been proven to eradicate bullying, show respect, love, and appreciation, and make dreams come true.
